The Alpacas, the princesses of wool
The Alpacas have the highest quality and most prestigious wool in the world.
The Alpaca’s wool fiber possesses
a unique hollow structure which provides its soft, light weight, and outstanding thermal insulation; Virtues that make the alpaca wool very pleasant and healthy.
Since 1987 we have raised our alpacas for their unique wool. Thanks to the Negev’s mountain climate, the alpacas produce an improved, supreme quality fiber.
All stages of the wool production are done at our ranch, from the shearing to the final product.

In South America the alpacas are primarily a source for production of woolen clothing garments, carpets and blankets. The llamas, whose wool is coarse, are primarily used for carrying goods along the mountainous trails.
The alpaca wool is ranked among the finest in the world, along with Kashmir and angora wool. The combination of a few rare qualities makes the wool so unique: Softness, Isolation, Low Weight, Color Variation.
The shearing of the alpacas takes place in springtime so that they would have all summer to grow a new coating of wool. The entire process of wool production takes place in the farm- the raising of the animals, the shearing of the wool, the washing of the wool and the preparation of it for the spinning and interweaving to yarn. The production is a combination of machinery processing and hand handling stages.
The visitors are welcomed in the wool factory.
